Spring Dalton has become entrenched in a rut in her hometown of Detroit. Her life as a graphic artist has left her unfulfilled, and her habit of snacking on donuts has left her overweight and suffering from sagging self-confidence. A cousin invites Spring to live with her in Heidelberg, Germany, while Spring pursues her dream of going to art school. Spring decides that now is the time to beak out of her rut. On the train from Frankfort to Heidelberg, Matt Sherman, an American teacher working in Heidelberg, literally lands in Spring's lap as the train jerks out of the station and the two strangers embark on a foundering adventure-falling in love. From the first day, Matt is drawn to Spring, but guilt and anger from his past make him feel unworthy of her love. Can Spring learn patience as she realizes prayer is answered in God's time? Will Matt learn to forgive and accept God's forgiveness so he can follow his heart?
