About the Author:
Katie Ingersoll (1982- ) was born in San Diego, California. Her parents have recently retired, but made their living running a seaside restaurant. Katie has fond memories of working at the restaurant as a teenager and waiting on tables. Summers there were endless and she developed a love of the beaches, the boardwalk and the sea. In her early twenties, she moved to New York City to follow her dream of becoming a magazine editor. Jobs were scarce, but she was able to find work at small publishing houses, where she fell in love with creative writing. Adding to her editing responsibilities, she began to write news columns.
