Loved by the Cowboy by Amber Duval
Loved by the Cowboy - Can be read as a standalone book

Thomas Boone has a lot of secrets. He doesn’t want to spend his life raising cattle at Ghost Lake Ranch, but how does he tell his six brothers that he wants to open his own carpentry business? Then there’s the crush he has on Shay Larabee, the pretty owner of the quilt shop in town. She seems to like him, but every time he’s around her he gets so tongue-tied he can hardly say hello. When Tom goes into the city to pick up a special order, and runs into Shay, he’s stunned when she asks him out to dinner.

Shay Larabee has been crazy about Tom Boone since she first laid eyes on the big cowboy. Meeting him by accident in the city finally gives her a chance to spend time with him. Yet after a wonderful dinner, she and Tom accidentally witness the execution of a well-known politician, and must go on the run to escape the killer. Things only get worse when the police identify Tom as the prime suspect in the murder.

While hiding out from the police in Shay’s childhood home, Tom finds a way to prove his innocence. The risks involved scare Shay, and as they argue over his plan their mutual attraction is revealed and results in a night of passion. Tom now knows he will do anything to protect his lady. Once the real killer is exposed, Tom returns home with Shay to face his brothers. Now can he stop keeping his secrets from his family? Or will his ambitions ruin everything good in his life besides Shay?
