Aria and Bast make their way through Hell encountering the strange and disturbing landscape. After an attack from Abriel and her army, Aria is forced to shift and flee in raven form, leaving Bast behind. Not knowing if Bast is alive or dead, Aria moves toward Dylan, led by the bond they share. She flies to the ledge of a fortress window where she shifts back into human form, completely naked. There she encounters the Lord of Darkness himself and is instructed in the ways of hellish love. The Lord of Darkness courts her and brainwashes her, making her forget everything she is and everything she knew, in order to make her his queen. In the final test, Aria must decide the fate of the worlds.
