Hi, Diane Miller here again, remember when I was telling you about my ex-boyfriend Chris Grover and what a lying, cheating, baby-making, scumbag he was? Yeah, about that…

Well, long story short, Chris is innocent. Yeah, color me embarrassed, although all signs had pointed to him taking a ride on the town merry-go-round, Janice, he actually hadn’t. Which means the baby isn’t his. Although, he is the uncle…

Yeah, Bo Grover, older brother to Chris, Marine and war hero is also a father. He and Janice had had one night of drunken passion and produced the baby, which Janice tried to pin on Chris. Bo let her know in no uncertain terms if she said anything about the baby being his he’d make her sorry when she told him about it. Bo didn’t believe her and you can’t really blame him because the girl did get around.

Anyway, all this came to light when Chris after a year of letting Janice shine him on about a paternity test, held her feet to the fire and they got tested. He passed but his brother didn’t, I guess you could say, so all the skeletons came rattling out of the closet.

Chris rushed over to my house to give me the happy news, right in time to find me in the process of moving to Dallas with my olive-skinned, former man-whore, new boyfriend Gabe.

So here we sit, Chris is exonerated, Bo is guilty, Charlise Thompson, my best friend and Bo’s girlfriend is crushed, Janice is scared out of her mind wondering how Bo is going to make her pay for letting the cat out of the bag, I am confused as to what this all means. I mean, do I tell Chris ‘too bad, so sad, sucks to be you’ when he hadn’t actually done anything? And if not, where does that leave Gabe and I?

All I do know, is there will be a lot more drama before this is finished and more than one heart is going to end up broken. Ah well, just another pleasant time in Grover’s Corner. Join me and I’ll tell you all about it.
