Saving Laura Lewis by Suzanna Murdock
Laura Lewis is a high spirited young woman, used to getting her own way. When her father refuses to allow her to marry, her fiance conveniently falls in love with her older sister and despite Laura's protestations, permission is given for the couple to marry. At a family wedding she meets her long lost aunt who lives in Bozeman and Laura travels with her on the pretense of visiting with her. Without her family knowing it, she plans to be a mail order bride to man in Butte, Montana. But her aunt has reservations about marrying a man one has never met.

On their train journey, they are robbed and arriving in Bozeman, they come in contact with one of the rail road detectives investigating the train robberies. Laura provides the only clue the detectives have received, their robber has a scar on his inner left wrist.

Despite her aunt's protestations, Laura is firm in her plans to go to Butte to be married. Without her knowledge, her aunt engages Detective O'Hara to look into Laura's husband to be.

But Laura is in for quite a shock when she meets her husband, Jonas Kane. He is nothing like his photograph and there's worse to come!

Will Detective O'Hara be able to save Laura, not only from herself but from her husband?
