Growth: Isle of the Four Kingdoms by B.A. Beers
Three years after the eruption of Half Moon Mountain in the kingdom of Four Peaks, which blanketed over two-thirds of the Isle of the Four Kingdoms with volcanic ash, the Dragon Alliance has assembled on Dragon Mountain for a much-anticipated celebration of the rebirth of the isle. A successful H.E.A.L. (Help Ensure All Live) quest had yielded the provisions needed for the isle’s inhabitants’ (both man and creature) survival. And, with the assistance of the ‘guiding spirits’ and the isle’s dragons, the ash has been removed and the land re-seeded. The isle is blooming with new growth . . . not only vegetation, but new little ones have been added to the Dragon Alliance families.
Prior to the start of the celebration, the Guardian of the Blue Dragons, Princess and Sorceress Toosweet (Filly) Mesa is abducted in order to resolve a red dragon crisis. The resolution ultimately leads her and the Dragon Alliance to an encounter with the remaining renegade dragons. Will this encounter embroil them in battle?
Meanwhile, on the isle of Oceanedge, King Burton Crater and Queen Eva are invited to join the Dragon Alliance celebration on Dragon Mountain. The political unrest on Oceanedge makes King Burton reluctant to attend, but he yields to his daughter’s wishes. In his absence, his political rivals lay siege to the royal castle and the surrounding village. Can King Burton count on the Dragon Alliance’s assistance in his quest to regain control of his kingdom?
