After holding her man down like the good woman she is, Mia ended up looking like a fool in return. Not only did Dola cheat on her in a room full of people, but he also humiliated her and shattered her life into a million pieces. Mia is so distraught that she ends up losing her job and flunks out of school because she’s just too stressed and broken to deal with life at the moment. Mia’s determined not to succumb to any of Dola’s pleas or apologies in fear that she may not be strong enough to let him go and move on. So instead, she avoids him at all cost, but the more she tries to avoid Dola, the more her heart aches for him. Then suddenly, another tragic event occurs in her life and she finds herself needing Dola more than anything. With her sister Neecy back in her life, things become even more hectic than they were before.
Dola can’t believe that he messed up a good thing with Mia. After being released from jail, the only thing on his mind is getting back to the money and finding Mia. She has shut him out completely after catching him cheating with another female during one of his jailhouse visits. With no help from her, friends, or family Dola is about to lose his mind. That is, until he realizes that Mia isn’t as far away as she think she is. Will Dola be able to redeem himself and make things right with Mia? Or, will Mia stay true to her word and leave Dola in the past where he belongs? Find out in this second installment of THE ONE I GAVE MY HEART TO.
