When Cohen hears sirens, the last place she expects to be is in someone’s yard, waiting for the coast to clear. She’s left behind by her friends and sitting in mud – how could it be any worse? But when Charlie Lewis appears, seeming to rescue her from the rain, the last thing she expects is to spend any more alone time with him than necessary. Cohen’s used to seeing him everyday but being in his house opens new territory, something for which she isn’t prepared. Mr. Lewis might not be her teacher anymore but being this close might be a good distraction.
