Shannon Hunter finds herself on a bus to, who knows where. She chose to go on this secret archaeological expedition, but after nearly twenty-eight hours on a bus with no way to see out of the windows or out of the front, she's beginning to get the feeling that she's been kidnapped. She glances around and looks at the faces of the twenty-plus students that accompanied her on this excursion and they seem happy enough. She's probably just a little stir crazy. Several weeks back, she had accompanied Dennis to his deceased, uncle's house. It was their first date and the chemistry between the two of them was nothing short of electric, then it happened. She had an encounter with something unknown. This encounter nearly killed her, and since, she's changed on the inside...
In the second book of the Sideways Series, Shannon begins to notice that she has new gifts. She can do things that she could never do before, things not known to the natural world. As the story unfolds, Shannon comes face to face with her worst fears, and as she instinctively knew, she has been changed forever.
