Falcon (Third Generation Lakota #1)
Linda Walker

As always, my stories are fiction with some real facts to make the books more interesting. I pray you will enjoy this new series as you have the other books I have written.
Thank you for reading my stories.
Falcon is the grandson of Big Dog, chief of the Sihasapa (Lakota Blackfoot) band of the Lakota tribe. With Big Dog’s son being ended in a battle with the Apache years earlier, it is up to Falcon to take over as chief. The only problem was that a chief had to have a wife.
The Lakota think if a chief is not joined, then he is unable to commit to anything else. Falcon’s future wife and only true love were ended in a raid three summers earlier, and he is sure he will never love again.
The Lakota lives with the constant threat of the white man coming into their territory ever-present. The Lakota council decided they need to reestablish their alliance with the other four large tribes of the plains. However, the Comanche refuse to ally with them again unless one of their chief’s joins with Nocona’s granddaughter.
Since Falcon is the only one not joined, it will be up to him to join with this woman for the good of all Lakota. Can he do this? Will he believe the spirit of his lost love will accept what he must do?
Falcon is torn between duty to his people and the love he lost. Which will he choose? Being chief and helping his people or declining because he cannot take another woman for a wife.
Read this new series, starting with Falcon, to learn what life has in store for the Lakota once the white man invades their territory.
