Solitary (A Tale of Men and Fae #2)
Charlie Tran

They were the true monsters.
Galien is finally here. A land where faerie tales took place. Where anything was possible: Among the fae. But it's not exactly like the stories entail. When there is danger lurking around every corner, the only thing on his mind is to return home. To return back to his mother.
Vethari refuses to let that happen. He needs Galien to complete his plan and will do anything to make sure Galien remains safe until it's time to act. Despite capturing the human in the first place, the golden fae seems oddly cold and distant. Perhaps it's to do with the leader of these Solitary faeries.
Faariin. The fae that seems to have no emotions, other than resentment. He wants the human gone as soon as possible, and even comes off as hostile towards the young lord. But Galien didn't ask to be here.
Through living his day to day life beyond the faerie circle, Galien gets involved in various rites of magical splendor, traditional festivities, studies books that hold secrets of the fae, and befriends a few of the mystical creatures during his stay.
Ke, the pixie, Rolun, the satyr, and Calidi, the fire nymph are the few he can count on while he remains a captive. Yet even with all these people supporting him and telling him to trust Vethari, he can't help but become skeptical of his words. Especially when he asks Galien to do something treasonous, something that could put all of them in danger.
Could he bring himself to go through with it? Or would his actions ruin the life of the Solitary fae forever?
