A Different Kind of Love by Elaine Babich
Kaitlyn Simons, now a single parent, is back where she began, at her parents' house with her young daughter, Jeanie. Kaitlyn finds out that living under her parents' roof comes with the same rules that she faced as a teenager and it's just not going to work out. She needs her own space for herself and Jeanie and is determined to find a good job and a place to live. More than that, Kaitlyn still struggles with her post-traumatic stress disorder from being an abused wife and still has occasional issues with epilepsy and depression. She has a hard time trusting anyone new and is very careful with her heart and her loyalties.

This is the last book in the Kaitlyn's Secrets series, about her life as a twenty-something adult, with a career that she builds, parenthood adventures (including her daughter getting bullied at school), and a hope for a better life for Jeanie and herself. Just around the corner, opportunities for love arise and Kaitlyn must use what she has learned from her mistakes to choose a love that will last a lifetime, from among the men who are interested in her. She faces further betrayal, but when she goes into a new relationship with her eyes open, things start to come together for her. For the first time, she builds something of her very own, a life that is full of discernment and a closer walk with her beliefs.

Facing financial hardship and a heartbreaking separation from the one man she loves and trusts, Kaitlyn faces illness and even a temptation that could destroy her happiness and tear apart her family. The author concludes this series with magnificent surprises and a development of a woman's inner strength that readers will never forget. This book is the last in the two Kaitlyn series, but it can stand alone as a story that will leave an impression about what the human heart is capable of when it seeks a purposeful life, and what it really means to find 'a different kind of love.'

**Acclaim for the novels of Elaine Babich**

"This series, about a young woman's failures, triumphs, and courage, and her purposeful journey to happiness, culminates in one of the most poignant, realistic books that I have ever read about a tragic life healed and made whole, all due to the power of love. You will never forget Kaitlyn, and her courage, tenacity, and unconditional love for her family. This is not just a novel, it is a lifechanging book for young women about choosing your life path, the one that you ache for in your most secret dreams." —Eve Paludan, editor of A Different Kind of Love

“Heartbreaking and Touching. A powerful story of a teenager’s struggle with anorexia, told in a straight forward and powerful way, without talking down to the reader and without being overly sentimental. You Never Called Me Princess is an honest look at what could happen when a young girl decides to lose weight at all costs. Should be mandatory reading for any parent who suspects their child might have an eating disorder. I believe the novel will show the reader that there are answers to their problems, and that they are not alone. Highly recommended. An important novel.”
—J.R. Rain, author of Moon Dance

“An intriguing debut and an excellent read. Gripping and touching, a story written from the heart. Elaine Babich has fashioned a story that many young girls could relate to. In the end we are left with a poignant glimpse into the beauty of family and the love of life and the wonder that connects us all.”
—Summer Lee, author of Angel Heart

“Elaine Babich has created such a vivid tale of teenage angst and redemption—one that will stay with me for a long time.”
—Aiden James, author of Reign of Coins
