Scars of My Brother by Chelle Craze, Eli Abbott, Maria Vickers
SIN NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD.
Being in an MC wasn’t a lifestyle, as the majority of the world thought, it was a way of life. Riding with the Chained Rebels Motorcycle Club was never something I questioned. It came as natural as the air passing through my lungs and filtering into my bloodstream. Both were necessities to me. Obviously, breathing was more important, but only slightly. What society called outlaws, were those I called brothers. This was how it had always been for me as a Reaper in the CRMC, but I never thought I’d see my brother become the target.

For what he did, he was deserving of whatever sentence the club gave him. Yet, it wasn’t an easy pill to swallow, knowing I’d be the executioner of his trespasses.

Somehow while all the mayhem unfolded around us, Scarlette and I found a heightened awareness of one another. It was as if the exploding chaos and budding events of our wrecked fate forced us into an unforgiving storm that we had no choice but to claim as our own. The brutal truth of it was, destiny could be a fickle old lady and got off watching us struggle. Man, if she wasn’t good at it, too. As soon as I’d move one domino into position, another would teeter, its weight eventually collapsing upon my shoulders. It was an ever-lasting uphill battle to protect those I cared about and to survive.

In the end, regardless of efforts, someone or something had to fall, and that decision was mine and mine alone
