Queensboro Bay is located on the Lake Superior shoreline and its harbor services the vast shipping industry of the Great Lakes. The Inn bequeathed to the entire Steger clan is a run down and horrid eyesore for the entire community. The family is conflicted over selling or renovating the hotel, which leads to many tense interactions as they move forward with a final decision. Is there a way to hold their family together by pursuing this dream of building a legacy at the Inn? How will setbacks and misunderstandings give way to unimaginable loving relationships developed along the way?

When an accident at the cargo dock has a barge lisping and nearly underwater, Captain Jay Mellon suddenly finds himself needing emergency shelter for his crew, and fortunately, the inn is willing to oblige. He feels the weight of the world on his shoulders with the cargo and the livelihood of his crew in jeopardy despite everyone working desperately to fix the situation. Obviously, he is not in a place to deal with the attraction he suddenly feels for Journee who comes to his rescue.

Journee had just finished her restaurant and hotel management degree and was ready to move into an exciting career. She was a late bloomer and feels she needs to prove herself, and Captain Jay is certainly not the man that is going to deter her from her five year plan. Unfortunately, she has never met such an amazing guy, and the late-night chats they have had, after the long days trying to salvage his barge, starts to develop into something pretty special.

As Jay heads out of town after his ship is recovered, will Journee follow, or will she decide to guard her heart?
