Orson is a gaming-addicted otter, recently kicked out of university after a drug-fuelled incident that made the news. His father being the mayor of London didn’t help. After a year without gaming and staying mostly sober, Orson’s parents decide to reward him with a trip to New York to see some old friends who moved away years ago. His parents’ marriage has been on the rocks, and this holiday is what they need to help ‘save the family’.Ben is a studious and athletic polar bear, and his wealthy family are expecting him to fly just as high as they always do. A college ice-hockey star and future dentist, Ben hides a secret from his family and most of his while at college he’s discovered he’s gay. Ben hasn’t seen Orson since they were both nine years old, but even though Orson feels like a stranger to him now, Ben decides he’s going to come out to him.Little does he know that Orson has secrets of his own that are going to make for an exciting Christmas. Ben’s extended family show up at the last minute after a fire destroys their house, and Orson’s parents soon realise current events are not going to give them the peace they so badly want. Ben and Orson now have to hide their new-found ‘friendship’ in a house where tensions are waiting to snap.
