Country Mist by Cheyenne McCray
When rancher, Tyson Donovan, steps forward to protect a woman from a couple of degenerates closing in on her, he discovers their target is Haylee McLeod. He’s known her since he ran around with her brothers in school, but rarely gave her a second thought—until now. The beautiful woman sitting in front of him is no longer a child. Her spunk and determination intrigue him. He wants to get to know her better, but knows her brothers will turn on him if he should inadvertently hurt her, so he decides to pursue a causal relationship.

Haylee always thought of Tyson as a guy who was around from time-to-time, nothing more or less—until he tries to act like one of her overprotective brothers. Her ire boils whenever a man thinks he needs to save her when she’s perfectly capable of taking care of herself. She’s made a point of controlling her life and surroundings ever since a boyfriend passed away under terrible circumstances.

Tyson is handsome, but he’s also a wild card. His heroic nature sometimes places his life in danger. She can’t handle losing someone close again, but she doesn’t let that stop her from testing the waters. A fling couldn’t possibly lead to anything more if she controls the relationship.

When they discover their attraction is more than skin deep, will they run away from their true feelings? Or will they face their fears and risk their hearts?
