“Mmhm, you’re not hugging me tight enough,” Violet protested with a fake pout. Her arms were linked around Damon’s body and his arms were locked around hers too as they lay in bed.
“Sweet girl, if I hug you any harder, I’m gonna crush you and our baby,” Damon said with a laugh. Though he was acting cool, he found it adorable that Violet was being so clingy.
“Zachary?”
“Yeah!” Violet clapped in excitement. “Or Zach, for short!”
“Why Zachary?” Damon frowned, looking unconvinced.
Violet smiled and grabbed his hand. She guided his index finger to her tattoo.
“DVZ,” she explained. “It can mean Damon Van Zandt, or it can also be Damon, Violet, and Zach,”
Damon’s lips twitched into a smile. That was perhaps the best thing he’d heard all day.
