People like to say I run from my problems. Not tonight. After I face what I have to do head on, everything will be different. A new version of myself will rise from the ashes and never again will I let another person be in control of my fate. Or I might go to prison for the rest of my life.
That is until the universe had another cruel joke in store for me. On the night of my rebirth, the world I knew descended into chaos as an infection swept through the city. The dead were coming back to life and turning anyone they could get their hands on. It didn’t matter if it was a complete stranger or your own family. All it took was one bite, then there was no avoiding the outcome.
I knew after tonight my life would never be the same but this is not what I had in mind. All I wanted was to get custody of my younger sister, Rhiannon, then flee to somewhere where no one knew me. I’d promised myself I’d never be at another man’s mercy after the last. What I didn’t see coming was getting trapped at a quarantine zone with the only two who had the power to bring me to my knees.
Two ghosts from my past that wouldn’t rest until they got some kind of answers as to why I’d left them behind. I never thought I’d have to face them again. To have to endure their accusatory glares after that one fateful party four years ago. They used to be my best friends but now, I wonder if they’d even truly recognize the person standing in front of them.
I was so close to accomplishing my goal. Now with all the obstacles in my path, I didn’t know if I’d ever even see Rhiannon again, let alone live to see the new life I’d planned for us.
This is a dark dystopian/zombie apocalypse romance. It is also a reverse harem/why choose book, the FMC will not have to pick between any of the MMC’s. There will eventually be three in total but this book focuses on the first two, with the last being introduced towards the end. This is the first of a series and does end on a cliff hanger but there will be a HEA for the main characters at end of series. This book contains mature content and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 years old. This book also features some heavy themes so if please check the trigger list if you have any concerns but please also be forewarned it does contain some pretty hefty spoilers.
