My Scoundrel: Rendezvous In Time (Legendary Rendezvous #2)
Lyn Horner

The first part of the story centers around the famous Menger Hotel in San Antonio, said to be the most haunted hotel in Texas, but you won’t run into any ghosts in this book. Instead, you will meet Vyanna (Vye) Riley, a time traveler from the future who comes to San Antonio in 1905, searching for Dr. Albert Devine, who holds the key to survival for the entire human race in her own time. She is certainly not looking for love.
Dominick (Nick) Girard, a native of New Orleans, is the son of a wealthy French Creole family, but he hasn’t returned home since escaping his father’s iron rule ten years earlier. He has wandered the West, mining for gold, working at a silver smelter, tracking down wanted men as a bounty hunter, and gambling. He’s in San Antonio to play poker and decide whether or not to go home after receiving a letter saying his father is critically ill.
Vyanna has trouble registering at the Menger, where single women are not often welcome. Dominick comes to her aid, posing as her fiancé. The two are instantly attracted to one another, and attraction grows into love as Nick helps Vye track down Dr. Devine, who flees from San Antonio rather than share his secrets with Vye. She and Nick follow him to New Orleans, where a fiery family reunion awaits Nick. A fancy soirée, violent encounters, and a yellow fever outbreak add tension, leading to the most painful choice Vye will ever have to make.
