Besides my family, I keep my life separate from alphas. The coffee shop I own is part of a beta-only group of buildings, and it's been that way since I first opened my shop.
Cue the bakery next door moving locations and no other betas taking the space. At least when an alpha business moves in, it's owned by my brother's nonprofit. What's not ideal is that he's letting his business partner run it.
Henry isn't what I expect from an alpha, especially one with a beast. He's emotionally mature and considerate, which isn't great when I've decided he's public enemy number one.
