Magic in the Music by Jane Charles
There is nothing magical about Cassian Jourdain, nor does he come from a magical family, but Nightshade Manor was his home. This is where he had expected to grow old and die a bachelor. Except, now he has an opportunity to go back and claim what had been lost, which he intends to do until he meets Lady Samantha Ellis and he is torn between duty and his heart.

Lady Samantha Ellis has always loved music. She can hear it in the wind, laughter, tears, and nearly every tone, except for Mr. Cassian Jourdain. It is a conundrum that her mother insists is not unusual, but Samantha was intrigued and made her wonder whether she was drawn to him was because he was fascinating and handsome, or because he was an enigma.
Not only was she gifted with the ability to hear the music in others, but she has a talent for playing as well. Each time her fingertips touch the keys, magic fills the air—a gift that she must always be mindful of so as not to affect the emotions of the listener. However, when she discovers a piano not yet played, she cannot help but sit before it and let the song in her heart fill the air. What she hadn’t counted on was the piano laying claim to her very being.

When Lady Samantha disappears, it is Cassian who finds her in the once forgotten room. The only problem is that nobody else can see her. Without magic of his own, how can he possibly save her? Will he discover the answer before the piano fully claims her body and soul?
