BARN-AGEDDON! The Musical: A Tale of Hooves, Heartbreak and Havoc by Ken McDonald
In BARN-AGEDDON! The Musical , the orange book, and the second in the series, the Beaver buys Peaceful Haven planning to evict the animals and sub-divide the land. The animals, led by Emma and reporter Suzie Adams, resist.

There are problems at FKN Television and the ratings are plummeting, so Remington Royal is sent to interview the Beaver. Again! The annual football match is on. Love is a distraction for some of the animals.

Emma is sent into exile by the Beaver. Gus Turkey confronts him and Emma returns. The Beaver, running low on cash, secretly organizes for some rats to burn down the barn so that he can claim the fire insurance.

Suzie and Remington investigate the fire. The Beaver decides to sell the farm. He is charged with serious crimes and imprisoned. The animals want to buy the farm and they hold a masked ball and a musical! And Grace Filly is pregnant!

These crises occur against the background of a growing love affair between Suzie and veterinarian, Al Goodman, who meet at the farm. Al is having personal problems and is struggling with life’s challenges.

This story also touches upon issues relating to the rights, feelings and maybe even the expectations of animals working and surviving in a world of humans where their welfare can be overlooked.

If you have enjoyed this story about the delights and the dramas confronting the animals who live in the barn on the farm, Peaceful Haven, then look out for the next book in the BARN-AGEDDON! series.
