Flight of the Falcon by Carol Kerry-Green
What secrets lie beneath the streets of York?

Hugh McHughes is tasked with spying on Falcon Byrde’s movements, but when a call from his boss suggesting he should be looking to eliminate Falcon, he’s confused. What is his boss up to?

Falcon Byrde, part time paranormal investigator, part time book shop owner, is hired to investigate tunnels under the city, that are suspected to be linked to the disappearance of the Roman Ninth Legion, last heard of in the 2nd century AD.

As Hugh becomes involved in Falcon’s investigation they develop feelings for each other. Feelings that could distract them from solving the mystery of why there’s an ancient vampire asleep in an underground room.
