The hospital she’s worked at has closed down and with no real excuse at the ready; she agrees to visit her mother in Beverly Hills for her birthday. In her mother’s closet she finds a hidden box with letters from a father she thought had abandoned them when she was six and died in an accident when Christy was seven. The other piece of mail is a business letter from her father’s lawyer saying he died six months ago and she has inherited his house. Mark O’Keefe works for a special Government Task Force. He’s keeping an eye on the safe house next door where a witness is being held in protective custody.
