Kylie is having a hard time fitting into the pack, and Dominic isn't making it easy on her. Everything gets more complicated when a rival pack leader named Brayden comes around. Kylie is torn between her feelings for Dominic and her interest in Brayden. The tension between Dominic and Brayden, may possibly throw the packs into a war, as both leaders struggle for power; leaving Kylie is caught in the middle.

Kylie's life gets even more complicated when Kylie's pregnancy gets revealed to Brayden and Dominic. The other packs finding out about the pregnancy complicates everything. The packs are on edge as Kylie and the others try to come up with a plan to keep Kylie safe. Kylie soon learns the vampires are also involved in trying to stop the birth of her children. A vampire named Micah further complicates Kylie's life, when he becomes determined to protect her; however he has his own agenda.

Volume 4 picks up where volume 3 left off. Kylie has a hard time trying to figure out who she can trust. Her options seem limited and Maggie encourages her to run with Damon, Dominic's estranged brother. Kylie and Damon encounter a strange group that call themselves the original clan. The clan offers them sanctuary, but even that may not be enough to keep Kylie and her unborn children safe.

The final volume begins where volume 4 left off. Kylie meets Elijah and tries to reason with him to protect her friends and family. She finds out everything about her pregnancy is not what it seems, and she learns the truth about the original clan and Dakota.
