In an attempt to prevent an all-out clan war, Dominic goes to the leader of the Browns, Jonathan Coleman, looking for answers. Dominic not only discovers that the Browns had nothing to do with the murder, but that his own clan are coming for Patrice, the daughter of Jonathan Coleman, and are looking for clan justice. Dominic vows to protect Patrice while he gets to the bottom of the murder, and his vow is quickly put to the test. The Greys launch a full-out attack and Dominic is forced to do battle Winston while trying to protect Patrice. Patrice and Dominic narrowly escape and go into hiding, and with Dominic now being an outcast from his own clan and the Browns under assault, nowhere seems safe. Looking for shelter and advice, they seek refuge with the previous sheriff, Dusty Brandish, who's an exiled wolf living alone in a cabin in the woods. While they lay low, Dominic notices the cabin has a leaky a roof and him and Patrice set out to fix it. While they fix up the roof, the two realise they have more in common than they thought and the sparks start to fly. The two quickly give into their attraction and fall in love, but their blossoming romance is interrupted when they find out that the clan war has escalated. Desperate to get to the bottom of the murder and end the war, Dominic, after receiving advice from Dusty, decides to go back and investigate the murder scene again. He calls his deputy, the only man he can trust, to watch over Patrice while he goes back to town. At the murder scene, Dominic discovers key evidence that not only proves the Brown’s innocence but that his own deputy was the murderer. Dominic is panicked knowing that he left Patrice with Tanner and races back to the cabin. Patrice and Tanner are gone and Dusty is badly injured. Dominic learns from Dusty that Winston is behind everything and used Tanner and his son as pawns in a nefarious plot to wipe out the Browns. Dominic rushes back into town to confront Winston, reveal his plan, but more importantly, rescue the woman he loves. During a climactic finale set at the lumber mill, Dominic arrives in the nick of time to rescue Patrice. Their reunion is short-lived as a full out battle between the two clans erupts around them. Dominic confronts and defeats Winston, and in the process, reveals his dastardly plan to the two clans. The clans stop fighting and exile Winston and make Dominic the new leader of the Greys. He tells them about a group known as the Hunters, who for generations hunted down werewolves in Europe, causing the wolves to flee to America. They’ve never had Hunters in America before, and both clans are in jeopardy. Jonathan Coleman, Patrice’s father, and a high ranking Grey wolf are running for mayor, but after the attack, a new candidate enters the race. The wolves are shocked to see that the new candidate, a successful businessman from the neighboring town of Angels Ridge, was front and center during the attack. The wolves have their paws tied as Calvin King, the new mayoral candidate, sweeps the hearts and minds of the normals in Timber Creek. Losing control of the mayor’s office, and by extension, the police force, could have dire consequences for both clans, especially when the leading candidate is a part of The Hunters, a group vowed to the destroying of werewolves. As the election swings into gear, a story breaks that places the Grey mayoral candidate, Timothy Brunswick, at the center of a rezoning bill that would take the lumber mill away from the Browns. The scandal drives a wedge between the Browns and Grey, and between Patrice and Dominic. Something seems fishy about the story. , so Dominic goes to investigate Timothy Brunswick. After talking with Timothy, it becomes clear that the story was an act of sabotage by the Hunters, but that the damage is already done. less

Dominic learns that the creature is another paranormal known as a doppelganger. The doppelganger can shift into anyone, and now the whole town is a suspect. Looking for answers, Dominic and Patrice brave the storm and head towards Dusty’s cabin to find an old book on doppelgangers. The storm forces the couple to spend the night in the cabin, and things start to heat up. The next morning, Dominic once again tries to propose, he’s determined to find the perfect moment, but is interrupted as the missing power worker emerges at their door. The man is severely wounded, and with the book in hand, Dominic and Patrice head back to the crisis center. Upon their return, the man is met with immediate distrust. A fight breaks out between the wolves and Dominic displays his leadership to calm the waters. After researching the doppelganger, they discover that even though it can mimic a werewolf, silver does not affect it. With that knowledge in mind, Dominic and Patrice conduct a test on all the wolves. The test proves that all of the wolves are who they claim to be, which means the doppelganger is posing as a normal. less

While trying to get to the bottom of the mystery of Castle Richards, Dominic and Mitchell stumble upon an abandoned cabin on the grounds that contains some grisly secrets, but before they can investigate the site, they get attacked by a strange werewolf who's trying to protect the castle’s secrets.
