Supes walk among the humans, but are not given the same rights and liberties as their human counterparts. While humans live in modern, beautiful buildings, Supes reside in squalor and filth. They have no access to well paying jobs or education. They have no dignity. The United States has been torn apart after a devastating civil war; the north is a sanctuary for Supes, a land where they can get the same rights as any human, the same education, the same high paying jobs. But the south is a police state, ruled over by the rich humans and a government agency called WatchTower. It's WatchTower's job to keep Supes in line, to make sure they follow the strict laws and don't harm humans. But when someone starts knocking off Supes one by one, WatchTower dispenses Unit 6482 to bring the killer to justice. Following the death of their leader Felix Reese, 6482 is now being led by Dexter Williams, a man who is a legend among the WatchMen, but hates the name he has made for himself. As Dex leads his unit to finding the killer, he can't help but feel drawn to one of his subordinates, Angel de la Cruz, and a dragon shifter named Damon Vas. Angel is small in size but takes pride in being a fierce WatchMan. He's known for his incredible knife skills, his loyalty, bravery and adaptability. But Angel has a secret, a fear that makes him feel weak and vulnerable. After meeting Dex and Damon, Angel knows he must get rid of the thing he fears if he wishes to have a future with the two men. But as Angel starts making the necessary changes in his life to claim Dex and Damon for his own all hell begins to break loose. Damon is opposite of everything it means to be a dragon shifter. When the team finds out who the real murderer is, they are shocked to discover there is more to the story than meets the eye. The killer is just a small cog in a very dark machine. Damon, Dex and Angel are about to discover that there is something even more sinister happening within WatchTower itself.
