With help from her Mate Eternal and Sitka, her four legged best friend, none of them are harmed, and the person responsible is caught. Luna discovers a couple of things that trouble her, though. One being how much her friend Neo resembles the evil granddaughter of the queen of the wraiths. Then Raj and Luna have to face the actual viewing ceremony itself. As bad as the semi-formal greeting was, the ceremony is worse. Within minutes of their entrance Raj is stabbed by one of the guests with a knife coated in a particularly nasty poison. There’s only one way to save both Raj’s life, and her own, and that’s for Luna to literally hold his soul in place long enough for him to heal. Along with a portion of his pain.
