Thanks to the new bond, I experience part of the explosion with him,and I turn into a deranged monster tryign to get to him, but what if we can't find him? There aren't supposed to be this many hurdles when you find your pack; you're supposed to meet, mate, and build a life. So why is it so hard for us to get this last step right? Then my son grew, and as he did, he learned to hate me as well. Sometimes I see glimpses of the sweet boy that wanted nobody but his mom, but more often than not these days, I only see him when he needs money, or a way to blow of steam. I thougth this was how I would spend the rest of my life, but I never accounted for the triplet sons of the alpha befriending my son and walking into my club. The second they saw me, it was game over. For my mates. This is a rejected mates story where there is no second chance. Things are too broken, and sometimes the mates are irredeemable. You can look forward to a reverse age gap, and single dad triplet brothers that will go to any extreme to protect the woman they know they deserve after they've already been to hell and back with their own mate. Trigger warnings include violence between males that want to protect our heroine and those that would hurt her, and emotional/physical abuse, though never by her chosen romantic partners. This is the fourth book in the rejected mates of the shelter series, and while this is a standalone, reading the other ones first will make it so much better <3. less
