Kacey passes out pinned under Danielle’s exsanguinated corpse, which saves her; even though she dies as a result of her injuries. She awakens in a Boston morgue sans toe tag. Fron her very first breath she can feel something’s not right with her. A thirst begins to build inside her, screaming for blood. After waking up in the morgue, she is taken to a vampire-owned castle hidden outside Boston. There she is shut away to try to cope with her blood lust. She learns that even her own newly adopted species wants her dead; she carries a dark strain of vampirism which carried an almost impossible to control thirst.
