But the league has notified me that I have been selected to have my jersey retired. They plan to go all out for it with a huge ceremony and the whole nine. Rolling out the red carpet. Because I like living in private, I'm not that excited about having to be thrust back into the spotlight. But Alika, my mother and the kids are ready to take the trip. Because my mother was forced out of my life when I was young, and because Alika and the kids came long after I put my bat down, they didn't have the chance to live in that previous life with me. So it's important that they get to see a snippet of my past, and experience what used to be my old stomping grounds.But flying out ahead of the family might not have been such a good idea, because now our lives have been turned upside down.One trip.One night.One too many drinks.One mistake... that may end it all.But it's all on me.
