On a routine mission, our outreach vessel is attacked, and I'm captured and thrown into an experimental chamber by a crazed organization just to see if my theoretical mutagenics actually work. As my body changes, I'm left in my cell, alone, abandoned on a distant planet to the fate I designed. Just when my hope has run out, Torius finds me. The brooding alien breaks me free, but his life comes with its own challenges. Getting him to talk to me is the first. Surviving the war against his kind's powerful enemy is the second.
