Zora Flynn is a 50-something newspaper publisher and reluctant participant in a promotional camping weekend. Can it possibly be worse? She and Rocco, her pampered prince of a poodle, are trapped on a remote island with a dead body, a Yeti roaming the woods, and a colorful cast of local business owners.
Once the castaways are rescued and back on the job in the picturesque cottage country town of Williamsport, the Yeti sightings start. Not to mention, a vandal strikes, spray-painting accusations of murder across the windows of Zora’s paper and the other downtown storefronts.
Each fall when the leaves in the highlands change to brilliant colors, Williamsport welcomes thousands of visitors. A high-profile murder case could definitely be bad for business. Rocco is hot on the trail of the Yeti, and Zora and the reporters are working overtime to solve the mystery and avert an economic disaster.
(It probably goes without saying, but the Poodle Versus… series is good, clean fun, except for the occasional suspicious death. No graphic violence, sex or swearing.)
