Regency England, 1821. Margaret Wilson continues to live with Charles and Harriet Benson as Harriet's personal companion. She observes that the newly-weds are still having problems in their private life but tries to avoid any further involvement, in spite of her longing for Charles. The feeling is mutual; how much longer can she resist his advances? When Harriet suspects Charles and Margaret may be having an affair, there are disastrous consequences; is this the end of their relationship?
